Ping Network to integrate with Jito (Re)staking

We're excited to announce that Ping Network, the privacy layer on Solana will integrate with Jito's new restaking platform — the infrastructure stack for deploying interoperable SVMs on Solana.

Jito (Re)staking is a multi-asset staking protocol for Node Consensus Networks. The protocol tokenizes staked assets as Vault Receipt Tokens for enhanced liquidity and composability. Node consensus networks can use Jito (Re)staking to easily customize staking parameters, slashing conditions, and economic incentives to tailor their security and tokenomics.
This collaboration will bring Jito (Re)staking to key infrastructure within Ping:
NCN and Ping validators
Validators are at the core of Ping’s network security. They keep a registry of nodes and are responsible for scoring and rewarding them. Our decentralized infrastructure is built to attract hundreds of nodes right from the start, so ensuring network security is a top priority.

To enhance decentralization and economic security, Ping will utilize Jito (Re)staking's Node Consensus Network (NCN) model. This approach incorporates multi-level slashing and customizable staking parameters, ensuring robust protection for the network. Validators will gather performance data, assess node connectivity, and validate their contributions through reward distribution.

As a result, network security will extend beyond the Ping token, safeguarded by billions of TVL on Solana.
VRT as Ping token enhancement
Jito's (Re)staking second element is Vault Program. It provides the tools to implement staking, slashing, and rewards systems with ease. It manages the creation and operation of Liquid Restaking Tokens (VRTs) that are supported by multiple SPL tokens as the underlying asset. Handles minting, burning, and delegation of VRTs.

The Vault Program handles minting, burning, and delegation of VRTs while enforcing flexible slashing conditions and caps defined by the associated NCN. This will significantly enhance Ping’s token liquidity and composability of assets.
Beyond validators
Another thing that is important for Ping’s efficiency and reliability is node slashing and penalizing. We are also exploring the possibility of using NCN for DePIN nodes to leverage Jito’s technology.
Jito (Re)staking
Jito has taken a step further than previous restaking products giving even more flexibility through unique features, especially granular control over slashing exposure that enables vaults to manage the amount of assets at risk.

Ping's efficiency and reliability rely on node slashing and penalization. We’re also exploring the use of NCNs for DePIN nodes, applying Jito's solution to another network component. Jito (Re)staking stands out from previous restaking products by offering unprecedented flexibility, particularly through granular control over slashing exposure, enabling vaults to manage the number of assets at risk effectively.
